Location: Edinburgh Seafield Hours: Monday to Friday, (36 hours per week) Pay Rate: £14.51 per hour Duration: Temporary ongoing Start Date: Immediate Full Clean UK Cat B Driving Licence Essential
The Role
We’re looking for a reliable and organised Laboratory Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a busy laboratory.
Duties will include:
- Preparing, cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment and glassware
- Handling, organising, storing and disposing of samples safely
- Maintaining stock levels of laboratory supplies
- Keeping laboratory and communal areas clean and organised
- Supporting sample deliveries and collections
- Assisting scientific staff with basic laboratory tasks
About You
Ideally, you’ll have:
- A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific subject
- Previous laboratory experience, ideally within a UKAS-accredited environment
- Excellent attention to detail and an organised, methodical approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A valid driving licence (essential)
