Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join us. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure that high-quality, reliable data powers our products, analytics, and decision-making. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to enable scalable data-driven solutions that support Klivvr’s mission of delivering innovative fintech experiences.

What you'll do: Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.

Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time streaming systems.

Partner with product, engineering, and analytics teams to understand data needs and deliver reliable solutions.

Ensure data integrity, governance, security, and compliance across systems.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and standards across the data team.

Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies in big data and cloud computing.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have: 4+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.

Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).

Experience with data pipeline creation, orchestration & data processing frameworks (AirByte, AirFlow, DBT/DataForm, Apache Spark, etc.)

Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms.

Experience with big data technologies.

Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing (BigQuery) and database design.

Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Experience in the fintech is a plus.

Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and MLOps is a plus.

Contribution to open-source data engineering projects.

Familiarity with code version control and deployment & monitoring strategies
