Accountabilities: The VDC / BIM Project Specialist will oversee the coordination and delivery of VDC projects by managing workflows, schedules, communication, and technical deliverables. This role requires strong organizational skills, BIM expertise, and the ability to balance stakeholder expectations with project objectives.

Coordinate VDC/BIM project activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Establish project objectives, coordinate meetings, and maintain clear communication across all project participants.

Manage project schedules, priorities, deliverables, and documentation using established workflows and project management tools.

Maintain Navisworks coordination models and provide project teams with the information required for effective model coordination.

Track project-related documentation, including RFIs, submittals, revisions, and change-related information.

Review contract document updates and identify potential cost impacts or scope changes requiring action.

Perform quality reviews of project deliverables before submission to formal quality control processes.

Monitor project scope, budgets, timelines, and overall project health while identifying risks and recommending solutions.

Support the creation and management of BIM schedules and advanced 2D, 3D, 4D, and 5D deliverables.

Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure successful execution of VDC standards and processes.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong experience in VDC/BIM coordination, construction technology, and project delivery, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. A combination of technical knowledge, communication skills, and construction industry understanding is essential for success.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of VDC experience, including at least 2 years managing or planning VDC project scopes.

Proven experience leading VDC and BIM projects across industries such as healthcare, education, industrial, municipal, or multi-use construction.

Strong understanding of BIM coordination processes, workflows, and project delivery methods.

Advanced proficiency with BIM/VDC coordination practices and tools, including Navisworks.

Experience creating and managing BIM schedules and digital construction deliverables.

Ability to interpret construction documentation and understand current construction delivery methods and practices.

Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
