Accountabilities: The Staff Accountant will own key accounting processes, ensuring accurate reporting, timely closes, and complete financial documentation. Main responsibilities include:

Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles according to established timelines while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Preparing and posting 50+ monthly journal entries with complete supporting documentation and general ledger reconciliation within required deadlines.

Performing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining accurate roll-forward schedules for accruals.

Reconciling bank accounts, accounts receivable and accounts payable subledgers, and fixed asset registers with the general ledger.

Recording fixed asset additions, disposals, and transfers, while calculating monthly depreciation accurately.

Supporting internal and external audits by preparing organized, cross-referenced documentation within requested timelines.

Maintaining strong accounting controls and identifying opportunities to improve close processes and reporting workflows.

Ensuring all financial entries are properly supported and aligned with audit-ready standards.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience with financial close processes, and the ability to maintain accuracy in complex environments. Required qualifications and skills include:

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accrual accounting principles, and month-end close procedures.

CA, CMA, or at least 3 years of staff-level accounting experience.

Experience working with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, nested formulas, and the ability to independently build reconciliation trackers.

Experience preparing journal entries and performing reconciliations in multi-entity or consolidation environments.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, maintain audit trails, and deliver accurate financial information.

Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to research solutions and improve accounting processes.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Nice-to-have experience includes working within private equity-backed environments, portfolio companies, or consolidated accounting structures.

Qualified CA or CA Fresher credentials are considered an advantage.
