Accountabilities: The Regional Flight Operations Support Manager is responsible for leading regional operational support activities, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring consistent execution of flight operations standards. This role requires strong coordination across teams, effective vendor management, and the ability to drive improvements in a dynamic aviation environment.

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Flight Operations Support Coordinators by setting expectations, providing coaching, and supporting professional growth.

Oversee regional vendor relationships, ensuring contract compliance and effective deployment of operational crews.

Manage workforce planning processes, including staffing forecasts, recruitment coordination, and capacity planning based on operational demand.

Maintain governance of operational systems, scheduling tools, and reporting platforms to ensure accurate data management and consistent processes.

Approve and oversee administrative processes including timesheets, expense reports, and regional travel coordination.

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while ensuring compliance with safety policies and operational standards.

Partner with cross-functional teams including maintenance, training, and community relations to align operational priorities and business goals.

Represent the organization during regional outreach activities and engagements with external stakeholders.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, team performance, and service delivery.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings aviation operations expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and experience managing complex operational environments. They should be comfortable working independently, solving ambiguous problems, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

5+ years of experience in aviation operations, logistics, workforce management, or a related operational field.

Proven experience managing and developing distributed teams in fast-paced environments.

Minimum 2 years of direct experience in commercial drone operations, including knowledge of Part 107/135 regulations.

Active 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required.

Valid driver’s license required.

Strong leadership skills with experience setting priorities, coaching employees, and managing performance.

Ability to develop solutions independently and manage projects with limited direction.

Experience managing external vendors and building effective partner relationships.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through clear, data-driven discussions.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when operational needs require.

Ability to perform moderate physical work outdoors and lift or transport equipment weighing less than 35 pounds.
