Media Relations Associate

Accountabilities: Develop and execute strategic media relations and external communications initiatives that strengthen brand awareness and support business objectives.

Build and maintain strong relationships with technology, business, and mainstream media to secure high-quality press coverage.

Write, edit, and manage press releases, company announcements, executive communications, and other external messaging materials.

Shape brand positioning, product narratives, and key messaging to ensure consistency across all public communications.

Prepare executives and company leaders for interviews, speaking engagements, conferences, and media appearances.

Plan and coordinate communications for product launches, partnerships, and major business milestones.

Monitor media coverage, identify emerging opportunities, and contribute to reputation management and crisis communications when necessary.

Collaborate with product, recruiting, leadership, and other internal teams to ensure aligned and impactful external communications.

Requirements

Experience in media relations, public relations, corporate communications, or a related communications role within the technology industry.

Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Established relationships with technology and business journalists and a strong understanding of media engagement best practices.

Proven experience managing communications for product launches, corporate announcements, or high-profile initiatives.

Strong strategic thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to develop compelling narratives for diverse audiences.

Confidence working directly with executives and senior leadership on high-impact communications projects.

Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-moving environment.

Exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
