Accountabilities: The Global Server, Storage, & Backup Manager will oversee infrastructure operations, lead global teams, and ensure enterprise platforms remain secure, available, and aligned with business needs. The role requires strong operational leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across complex environments.

Lead a globally distributed team responsible for enterprise server, virtualization, storage, backup, and data protection services.

Ensure the availability, performance, security, and recoverability of infrastructure platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.

Oversee lifecycle management of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, storage, and backup technologies.

Drive backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives to strengthen organizational resilience.

Establish and maintain operational standards, procedures, documentation, and service management practices.

Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, service performance, and operational risks while implementing improvement initiatives.

Lead major incident response efforts, coordinate root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Partner with cybersecurity teams to improve security controls, remediate vulnerabilities, and support compliance requirements.

Align infrastructure operations with IT Service Management practices, including incident, problem, change, and asset management processes.

Manage technology vendors, service providers, licensing agreements, and operational performance expectations.

Support infrastructure modernization programs, migrations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.

Develop and mentor infrastructure professionals while fostering accountability, collaboration, and technical growth.

Manage operational planning, budgeting, forecasting, and technology investment priorities.

Provide executive-level reporting on service performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced infrastructure leader with a strong background in enterprise technology operations, team management, and global service delivery. The successful candidate should demonstrate technical depth, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex infrastructure environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Must be a U.S. citizen with an active/current Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

12+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, including servers, virtualization, storage, and backup technologies.

5+ years of experience leading infrastructure operations teams and managing technical professionals.

Experience supporting large-scale, globally distributed enterprise technology environments.

Strong understanding of enterprise server platforms, virtualization technologies, storage solutions, backup systems, and disaster recovery practices.

Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, or similar enterprise technologies.

Experience managing operational support models, incident response, capacity planning, and technology lifecycle activities.

Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks and tools such as ServiceNow.

Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to lead geographically distributed teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience supporting major incidents and providing occasional after-hours operational support.

Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or similar enterprise cloud environments.

Preferred background supporting government, defense, aerospace, engineering, or highly regulated industries.

Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as Cisco UCS, NetApp, Pure Storage, Rubrik, or comparable solutions is a plus.

Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks including NIST, CMMC, or ISO standards is preferred.

Relevant technical or leadership certifications such as VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, NetApp, Rubrik, or similar credentials are advantageous.
