Accountabilities: The Director of Medical Services will provide clinical and administrative leadership to medical teams, ensuring effective care delivery, regulatory alignment, and continuous improvement across behavioral health services. The role requires collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and healthcare professionals to drive integrated and personalized patient care.

Lead and manage a team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other medical professionals while balancing clinical excellence, accountability, and team development.

Oversee the development and implementation of evidence-based psychiatric treatment approaches for children, adolescents, and young adults.

Monitor patient outcomes, identify improvement opportunities, and lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical services.

Ensure compliance with behavioral health regulations, accreditation standards, and applicable clinical requirements.

Collaborate with therapists, diagnosticians, support teams, families, and external healthcare providers to deliver coordinated care.

Develop and maintain relationships with medical partners and referral networks to support continuity of care.

Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives for medical staff.

Provide guidance on clinical operations, performance management, and improvement plans when needed.

Use technology platforms, electronic medical records, and virtual care tools to support efficient clinical operations.

Contribute to the expansion of services by helping scale processes, teams, and care models across new markets.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced psychiatric healthcare leader with strong clinical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a passion for improving youth mental health outcomes. Candidates should bring expertise in pediatric behavioral health, team management, and evidence-based psychiatric practices.

Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.

Active PMHNP-BC certification.

Active PMHNP/APRN license in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Maryland, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as required.

Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure experience practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, including pediatric or adolescent mental health experience.

Minimum of 3 years of administrative or leadership experience within a behavioral health setting.

Strong understanding of evidence-based psychiatric treatment practices and pediatric mental health care.

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate healthcare professionals.

Excellent communication, collaboration, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced and growing environment.

Knowledge of behavioral health regulations, compliance standards, and clinical operations.

Comfort using technology platforms, EMR systems, virtual care solutions, and productivity tools.
