Business Development & Sales Engineer
Job Purpose
The Business Development & Sales Engineer is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding the company's presence across industrial sectors. The role combines business development with technical sales to promote IEI's industrial boilers, steam systems, spare parts, maintenance services, and industrial solutions while achieving sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities across industrial sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with factories, consultants, contractors, EPC companies, project owners, and key decision-makers.
Generate qualified leads and convert them into long-term business opportunities.
Promote and sell the company's industrial boilers, steam systems, spare parts, maintenance services, and industrial solutions.
Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
Manage the complete sales cycle, including negotiations, order follow-up, contract execution, deliveries, and collections.
Identify and monitor major industrial projects and upcoming tenders.
Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Finance, and Customer Relations teams to ensure successful project execution.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
Build strategic relationships with local and international manufacturers, suppliers, and business partners.
Participate in exhibitions, conferences, and networking events to strengthen the company's market presence.
Prepare sales forecasts, business development reports, and market intelligence reports.
Achieve assigned sales targets and business development KPIs.
Skills

Good command of English (spoken and written).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to travel when required.

Experience 3–7 years of experience in one or more of the following: Business Development
Technical Sales
Industrial Sales
Projects Engineering
Industrial Equipment & Machinery
Technical Knowledge Good understanding of industrial equipment, engineering solutions, and technical sales processes.
Experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals is preferred.
Familiarity with industrial projects, tenders, and customer relationship management.
