As Goodman continues to grow, we are expanding our Asset Management team to include a dedicated Team Lead Property Accounting for our Continental European (CE) logistics real estate portfolio. In this role, you will report directly into the lead of asset management, will be responsible to lead the property accounting teams across CE, set the standards, ensure compliance, and coordinate with local teams to maintain high quality standards across a portfolio of 100+ properties. You will join a dynamic team of professionals, all committed to excel and eager to welcome you onboard.

More concretely, this means you will get the opportunity to:

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive property accounting strategy for the CE logistics portfolio

Guide and coach teams spread across Europe to ensure a harmonized and qualitative property management approach

Maintain and further build a strong team to ensure strategic goals are met through upskilling and recruitment

Sourcing and onboarding of new team resources

Define and implement standards for property accounting

Develop and document CE-wide processes and best practices for property accounting (collections, processing of incoming invoices, invoicing,...)

Coordinate the rollout of operational standards and training of the teams

Monitor consistency and quality of execution across countries

Ensure correct customer invoicing and collections across the CE portfolio

Oversee correctness of customer invoicing through rent invoicing, service charge reconciliations, recharges etc.

Ensure to maintain high standards of data quality and correctness of data for property financial and technical data

Ensure cross-portfolio compliance of our customers with lease obligations from a financial point of view (e.g. guarantees etc)

Oversee collection activities of late payments

Drive digitalisation and technical system adoption

Act as subject matter expert for the roll out and further optimization of our softwares (Microsoft Dynamics)

Ensure system usage aligns with operational needs and KPIs

Identify further opportunities for automation and efficiency

Monitor performance and enable continuous improvement

Track financial KPIs

Escalate KPIs at risk and initiate action plans with relevant stakeholders

Support implementation of CE-wide initiatives to improve efficiency and performance

Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams and geographies

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders

Act as central point of coordination for CE-wide property accounting topics

Liaise with local team members and other Goodman CE teams on staffing of projects/initiatives and prioritisation

Ensure clear and consistent communication across all levels

Do you recognize yourself?

7+ years of experience

Willingness to travel bi-weekly within Continental Europe (Paris, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam)

Experience in property accounting, lease accounting or similar experience (AP/AR, service charge accounting, reconciliations)

Experience in people management (international experience is a plus)

Knowledge of the Real Estate sector is a plus

Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English
