Based out of Port McNeill, BC We?re looking for a Logging Truck Driver to join our team for full-time, year-round employment!

Your tasks

Please share with anyone who might be a good fit! a safety-conscious Logging Truck Driver to transport logs from harvest sites to mills or other designated locations. This role involves operating heavy vehicles on varied terrain, securing freight, and completing routine equipment checks. The position offers hands-on work in a team-oriented environment, with opportunities to use and develop skills in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and basic automotive repair.

Responsibilities

• Operate a logging truck safely on public roads, forest roads, and uneven or remote terrain.
• Load, secure, and transport logs and other freight in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
• Coordinate with logging crews, dispatch, and receiving locations to support timely pickups and deliveries.
• Inspect the truck, trailer, tires, brakes, lights, and load-securing equipment before and after trips.
• Keep required trip, inspection, and delivery records accurate and up to date.
• Identify mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repair or maintenance when appropriate.
• Follow site procedures when working around loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and report hazards, damage, or equipment concerns promptly.

Requirements

Valid Class 1 Driver?s Licence Hardworking, reliable, and committed to safe driving practices

Coastal logging experience is an asset!

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver?s license appropriate for the vehicle and routes operated.
• Demonstrated commercial driving experience; logging or other freight-hauling experience is an asset.
• Ability to safely secure loads and work around logging crews and heavy equipment.
• Forklift experience or familiarity with forklift operations is an asset.
• Basic automotive repair and vehicle-inspection skills are preferred.
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safe driving practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather and navigate remote or rugged work areas.
