Material Planning Engineer

Job Description: Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production plans, demand, inventory levels, lead times, and material availability.

Monitor raw material and packaging material availability to ensure uninterrupted production and adherence to production schedules.

Run and monitor MRP requirements and follow up on purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and material deliveries.

Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to follow up on orders, delivery commitments, delays, shortages, and supply risks.

Coordinate with Warehouse and Production teams to monitor material receipts, consumption, stock levels, and requirements.

Monitor inventory levels against safety stock and defined inventory targets and identify potential shortages or excess inventory.

Maintain and update material planning parameters and relevant master data, including lead times, minimum order quantities, and safety stocks.

Identify material supply risks and initiate corrective actions to minimize their impact on production and customer requirements.

Monitor material planning KPIs and prepare reports covering material availability, inventory, shortages, and planning performance.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve material availability, optimize inventory, reduce shortages and excess stock, and enhance planning efficiency.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related relevant field.

2–4 years of experience in Material Planning preferably in Food Manufacturing or FMCG.

Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
