General Summary:

The Events Manager is responsible for the resource preparation, planning, and delivery of all IT Nation events and programs. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure all events run efficiently and are coordinated within budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provides support to the Marketing team, with close attention to detail

Researches, analyzes, and documents findings

May coach and review the work of other team members

Prepares and maintains signage and printable budgets throughout the lifecycle of the events

Runs project plans for event deliverables and identifies/resolves potential issues

Serves as the main point of contact for all incoming internal requests at large events

Provides suggestions for improvements to event flow and attendee experience

Assists with integration plans that impact successful event recruitment and execution

Acts as a subject matter expert for the IT Nation team and the marketing process

Facilitates the training of new colleagues within the team

Completes administrative tasks that accompany IT Nation events, which include production management, identifying deadlines, budgets, and invoices, and gathering quotas for print pieces

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision

Advanced knowledge of the applicable work area

Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business and partner requirements

Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 10 pounds on a regular basis

Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills

Preferred: Knowledge of Salesforce, Marketo, Cvent, Workamajig, Espiserver, and/or Trello

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent business experience

5+ years of relevant experience

Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Cvent certification

Working Conditions:

On-site / Hybrid depending on location

0-10% travel may be required
