CMT is seeking a senior level Cloud Software Engineer to produce scalable software solutions to reliably collect and manage data from sensors on smartphones and connected devices in vehicles. In this role, you will design architecture, build front end applications, and build features and applications that meet the needs of our customers. CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better!
Responsibilities:
Solve complex problems and transform them into business solutions in collaboration with team members
Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications suitable for implementation
Able to independently transform complex technical requirements into smaller implementable pieces; able to implement performant software solutions that are maintainable, scalable, reliable and testable
Participate in code and design reviews
Train and guide junior developers on proper software development procedures and methods
Follow company defined development and operational standards and processes
Provide on-call support during business critical emergency scenarios.
Support and troubleshoot production issues as needed
Complete any additional tasks as they arise
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in Computer Science or related field
4+ years of relevant experience in web application development and programming
Knowledge of Django or a similar middleware is a must
Should be Hands on and passionate to code and familiar with using AI tools like co-pilot and cursor
Top-notch programming skills and knowledge of modern HTML/CSS, jQuery
Proficiency with Python and ReactJS
Proficient and SQL and Postgres Database knowledge is an added advantage
Strong experience throughout the stack web applications, API and database
Knowledge of, and ability to use, relational database systems
Good understanding of how web applications work
Proven ability to deliver results
An analytical mindset
Ability to commute to our CMT, Chennai office 3 days per week
