The role will oversee structural design coordination, construction quality, site support, and compliance with applicable engineering standards while providing technical guidance to project teams. Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering with a structural focus, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 7 years of progressive post-qualification experience in large-scale, high-value building or infrastructure projects. Experience with high-rise buildings, bridges, complex foundations, or other major structures. Advanced knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, ANSYS, Revit Structure, or RISA-3D . In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards, including Eurocodes, ACI, AISC, BS, and applicable Kenyan standards . Demonstrated experience across the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design and detailed analysis through construction documentation and site support. Experience in finite element modelling, seismic analysis, and steel, concrete, and post-tensioned structural design. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. High degree of professional ethics and technical responsibility. Proactive approach to sustainable and resilient structural design.

Key Responsibilities

Lead detailed structural analysis, modelling, design, and calculations for complex projects. Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation. Coordinate structural designs with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines. Provide technical guidance and oversee structural works on site. Review construction quality and ensure compliance with approved structural designs. Conduct structural condition assessments and prepare technical reports. Support structural cost control, budget management, and project scheduling. Advise on procurement of key structural materials and systems, including steel, concrete, and foundation systems. Support contract and vendor management for structural works. Ensure structural works comply with HSE requirements and applicable Kenyan regulations. Maintain structural safety certifications and technical documentation. Mentor junior structural engineers and provide technical guidance.
