We are seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our team in Bakersfield, CA. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting pharmacy operations, overseeing the preparation and dispensing of compounded medications, and ensuring prescriptions meet our standards for quality, accuracy, and patient safety.

The Basics

Location: Bakersfield, CA (Onsite) Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Schedule: Monday - Friday Compensation: $70-$73

How You’ll Make an Impact

Oversee pharmacy technicians in the compounding, filling, labeling, and prepackaging of prescriptions and medications.

Perform final verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance prior to dispensing.

Partner with the Customer Care team to clarify prescriptions, obtain refill authorizations, and resolve prescription-related questions.

Provide pharmacist oversight throughout the compounding process while ensuring preparations consistently meet standards for accuracy, potency, and pharmaceutical quality.

Ensure pharmacy operations adhere to applicable USP standards, California Board of Pharmacy requirements, federal regulations, and internal policies and procedures.

Serve as a resource to pharmacy technicians and other team members by providing guidance and supporting safe, efficient pharmacy operations.

Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, compliance, and pharmacy operations.

Perform additional duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college or university.

Current and active Registered Pharmacist license in the State of California.

Working knowledge of USP <795>, USP <797>, USP <800>, California Board of Pharmacy regulations, and Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain professional, composed, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to exercise independent judgment while recognizing when collaboration or escalation is appropriate.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
