ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Engineering Department, Naval Oceanographic Office, of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Major duties
- You will manage the logistical preparation for UxS operations, including the staging, inventory, and packing of vehicles, spare parts, and specialized test equipment.
- You will troubleshoot and isolate system failures in complex electronic, mechanical, and software systems where no fixed pattern of failure may exist, often with limited access to external support.
- You will perform comprehensive pre-deployment checks, system calibrations, and software configurations for all assigned unmanned vehicles and associated support equipment.
- You will documents findings, technical issues, and successful new procedures in formal reports and maintenance logs.
Qualifications
GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience operating and understanding modern electronic systems is a baseline requirement. Experience setting up and installing these electronic systems is required. Experience handling the routine maintenance of electronic equipment is necessary.
