Director, Global Sponsorship
The Director, Sponsorship is part of the Global Partnerships team that manages and executes League sponsorship deals and relationships. The specific duties essential for this role are to lead the team in managing the day-to-day relationships with League partners, including all activations, strategy, planning, creative, and work across the League to support initiatives with our partners. The position also requires sales skills and asset creation/development with execution. This position will also be responsible for renewing partnerships, selling opportunities, and generating revenue as domestic and Global opportunities continue to grow.
Responsibilities
Manage the relationship with 10+ NFL Global partners who activate domestically in addition to various global territories; responsible for strategic planning of season-long activation programs, day-to-day partner activations and contractual deliverables, domestically and internationally
Manage activations with international stakeholders and territory account managers for game-focused activations and experiences
Provide updates to Domestic Vice Presidents weekly and updates to Global Strategy leads every month
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (including Marketing, Events, Community Relations, Media, PR, Brand, Legal etc.) to align partner programs and League initiatives
Responsible for partner upsell opportunities including asset development, sales pitch, and program execution
Lead Managers and Coordinators that are working across partner verticals
Support the Sponsorship Vice President on renewals while leading the overall renewal process
Support Club Business Development with team activity for global partnerships, advising on local guidance based on local partner rights
Act as the on-site activation lead at NFL events, including oversight of experiential activations and partner experiences
Serve as cross-departmental project manager lead on specific projects to secure and execute partner deliverables (Draft, Flag Championships, Kickoff, etc)
Successfully navigate through a complex matrix business with poise and maturity, whilst ensuring the best interests of the team and commercial partners are protected
Build and develop relationships with partner contacts, including client hosting at NFL events
All responsibilities include supporting Global business of the NFL
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
10 years of experience in sports or with an agency

Sports Sponsorship background
Experience working on partnerships that are global in nature and/or are heavily activated in territories outside of US

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
Work will exceed 40 hours per week
Planning and execution of events
Some weekend/global travel work for hosting clients
In-office policy is 5 days per week

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Salary $140,000 — $160,000 USD
