System Engineer (Messaging and Unified Communications)

Tasks and Responsibilities : Implement, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange Online, and hybrid Exchange environments, including recipients, databases, mail flow, transport rules, certificates, and message hygiene.

Administer Microsoft 365 services related to messaging and collaboration, including tenant configuration, licensing, migrations, security settings, and service health.

Implement and support Active Directory Domain Services, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Entra Connect, Group Policy, authentication, and directory synchronization.

Implement and support Skype for Business Server and Microsoft Teams, including meetings, federation, Enterprise Voice, Teams Phone, Direct Routing, dial plans, voice routing, auto attendants, and call queues.

Install, configure, and maintain Yeastar IP-PBX solutions, SIP trunks, extensions, gateways, IVR, call queues, voicemail, and call recording.

Integrate messaging, identity, and voice platforms to deliver reliable unified communications services.

Plan and execute migrations and coexistence scenarios from legacy messaging and PBX platforms to Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Yeastar.

Apply messaging security and compliance controls, including anti-spam, anti-malware, encryption, retention, archiving, auditing, and role-based access.

Perform health checks, upgrades, patching, backups, recovery testing, capacity reviews, and high-availability validation.

Troubleshoot mail flow, directory synchronization, authentication, SIP connectivity, call routing, and voice-quality issues.

Prepare implementation plans, technical designs, as-built documents, operational procedures, and customer handover materials.

Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams, while following change-management and escalation procedures.

Job Specification: Technical Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications Engineering, or a related field.

Hands-on experience with supported versions of Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange Online, and hybrid deployments.

Practical experience with Microsoft 365 administration, mailbox migrations, tenant configuration, and licensing.

Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Entra Connect, Group Policy, DNS, and certificate services.

Experience with Skype for Business Server and Microsoft Teams, including Enterprise Voice, Teams Phone, and Direct Routing.

Experience with Yeastar IP-PBX or comparable voice platforms, SIP trunking, gateways, IVR, queues, and call recording.

Good knowledge of Windows Server and core infrastructure services.

Working knowledge of PowerShell for Exchange, Microsoft 365, Teams, and identity administration.

Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, SIP, TLS, QoS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and troubleshooting methods.

Understanding of messaging security, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability concepts.

Ability to work on customer sites, participate in planned after-hours activities, and handle support escalations when required.

Ø Certificates: Relevant Microsoft, messaging, identity, or unified communications certifications are preferred.

Preferred certifications include:

Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate

Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate

Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

Yeastar certification or an equivalent VoIP certification

ITI or NTI training is an advantage.

Language: Arabic: Native

English: Excellent in both written and spoken.
