LOCCUM Educational Therapist (Central)

Working Location: Central Working Hours: LOCCUM role. Salary: Up to $110/hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-to-one and small-group intervention sessions for children with learning and developmental needs.
- Provide personalised support in areas such as reading, phonics, writing, comprehension, numeracy, attention and learning skills.
- Plan and deliver engaging, multisensory activities based on each child's individual learning profile.
- Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate session notes and relevant documentation.
- Adapt teaching strategies and intervention approaches according to each child's needs and progress.
- Communicate with parents and relevant educators on the child's development and learning progress.
- Participate in case discussions and team meetings where required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.
- Experience working with children with learning difficulties or additional learning needs will be an advantage.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Patient, nurturing and adaptable when working with children.
- Passionate about helping children overcome learning challenges and build confidence.
- Knowledge of literacy intervention, phonics or educational therapy approaches will be an added advantage.
- Experienced educators and suitable fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
