📌 ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Core Engineering team, which powers the document workflows millions of people rely on every day: viewing, editing, embedding, and exporting content, along with the integrations that connect Scribe to the rest of a customer's stack. You'll own impactful projects end to end, partnering closely with design, product, and engineering to deliver polished experiences in React, with a focus on usability, performance, and accessibility.

🛠️ WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build intuitive, performant, accessible user interfaces in React for core viewing and editing

• Own projects end to end, from technical design through launch and iteration

• Partner with design and product to scope, build, and launch features that solve real user problems

• Define APIs and data flows with backend engineers for a smooth, reliable frontend experience

• Improve code quality through thoughtful patterns, testing, and documentation

🔍 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• You have 5+ years of engineering experience

• You have extensive experience with React

• You're a strong advocate for automated testing

• You've seen and can implement engineering best practices

✨ NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with our stack: TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind, React Query, React Testing Library, Playwright

• Startup experience, thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments

📍 LOCATION

Hybrid. Based in San Francisco. We work from the office 3 days per week.

💰 COMPENSATION

Salary varies by location. All full-time employees receive equity in Scribe. Final offers depend on experience and scope.
