Job description
- Operate food processing equipment and machinery as per standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Prepare raw materials for processing (e.g. washing, cutting, mixing)
- Monitor production processes and adjust settings to maintain quality and efficiency
- Inspect raw and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Pack, label, and store finished goods according to specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following food safety regulations (e.g. GMP, HACCP)
- Report equipment malfunctions or product issues to the supervisor
- Follow all workplace health and safety regulations
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing work areas and machinery
- Complete production logs and reports accurately
Job Requirements
- Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
- Prior experience in food manufacturing or food processing is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety practices.
- Able to operate food processing equipment and machinery, with on-the-job training provided where necessary.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and handle materials as required.
- Able to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and supervisors’ directions.
- Meticulous, responsible, and able to maintain product quality and cleanliness standards.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.
