Sr Software Engineer I

Accountabilities: The Sr Software Engineer I will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions while contributing to technical strategy and product evolution. The role requires strong ownership, collaboration, and the ability to deliver reliable solutions across the full software development lifecycle.

Drive technical and architectural decisions that align with product requirements while anticipating future scalability and performance needs.

Design, develop, test, and enhance software applications and platform capabilities for customer-facing and internal solutions.

Lead technical discussions, support engineering best practices, and help teams deliver production-ready code.

Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure successful delivery.

Build and maintain automated testing, integration, and deployment frameworks to improve software quality and efficiency.

Participate in code reviews, software design discussions, sprint planning, and Agile development processes.

Track project progress, provide visibility into sprint work, and help break down complex initiatives into manageable tasks.

Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing applications.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across engineering teams.

Stay current with emerging technologies and apply modern development practices to improve solutions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong technical expertise, a passion for innovation, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote and agile environment.

University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

4+ years of professional software development experience.

Strong understanding of software development processes, architecture, and the complete software development lifecycle.

Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms.

Strong proficiency with .NET Core, .NET Framework, Entity Framework/Dapper, Web APIs, and Microservices.

Experience developing database-driven applications using relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.

Experience with modern front-end technologies including Node.js, Angular or React, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.

Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

Familiarity with LLMs, agentic frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and MCP servers is an asset.

Knowledge of NoSQL databases, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, multi-tenant architectures, message queues, and containerization technologies is an advantage.

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt to changing technology landscapes.

Experience working with remote teams is preferred.

Previous experience in occupational health, environment, ergonomics, or safety-related industries is considered an asset.
