Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Instruct apprentices. Adjust, repair or replace parts using hand tools and equipment. Construct and repair wood or metal supports and structures. Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components.
