Build the systems behind everything Gallup sells online. As a software engineer on Gallup's E-commerce team, you'll help power every online purchase and customer interaction. Working across the full e-commerce stack, you'll create modern commerce experiences, design APIs and develop integrations that build a more flexible, scalable commerce platform. What you create today will influence how Gallup sells for years to come. What You’ll Do Ship features primarily in TypeScript across Gallup's e-commerce platform, including catalog, checkout, subscriptions, gifting and enrollment Develop full-stack features spanning front-end and back-end services Help design and implement internal APIs that enable teams across Gallup to deliver commerce experiences Build and maintain integrations connecting commerce with payments, catalog, identity and other business systems Modernize and continuously improve Gallup's e-commerce platform through thoughtful engineering Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code while improving developer tools, CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows Partner with senior engineers to solve complex technical challenges while growing your own engineering expertise What Makes You Stand Out Strong fundamentals: You learn quickly, solve problems thoughtfully and continually master new tools, frameworks and concepts. What You Need Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience, required At least two years of full-stack software engineering experience required Experience building and shipping production applications through professional work or substantial personal or open-source projects required Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript strongly preferred Working knowledge of APIs and what makes them intuitive, reliable and maintainable required Experience engineering features for e-commerce or adjacent industries preferred Experience with containers, CI/CD pipelines and modern developer tooling preferred A commitment to working on-site at Gallup's San Francisco office at least three days per week required About Gallup At Gallup, we change the world, one client at a time, through extraordinary analytics and advice on everything important facing humankind. We also offer an estimated annual salary range of $130,000-$185,000 for this role. Salaries are based on a variety of factors, including an individual’s education, experience and skills.
