Assembler

Essential Duties

• Read basic prints and shop routing instructions
• Read and understand basic measurement values for a tape measure and caliper
• Lift 75 pounds on an occasional basis and 35 pounds on a frequent basis
• Work as assigned by management on various assemblies either alone or as a helper with another individual
• Keep inventory accurate and turn in Kan Ban cards to purchasing when low
• Assemble more complex equipment and parts
• Assemble tanks, kit part assemblies, package parts, and pull parts for drop shipments
• Pull parts to be welded and painted
• Notify department leads of upcoming assemblies and parts needed
• Layout work area and maintain 5S conditions
• Maintain SMI assembly jobs.
• Create assembly bays unique to customer or product (Satellite & Bosch)
• Operate basic hand tools
• Work fluently as a team with others

Responsibilities

• Recognition of nonconforming products and services
• To have a basic understanding of the ISO Quality and Documentation System
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and/or quality system
• Authority as determined by Management for final disposition of product
• Participate as required in quality audits and in developing quality plans
• Carry out tasks in a safe manner in accordance with known and/or published safety policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Authority

• Effect any change(s) necessary to control and maintain the Falls Fabricating LLC, ISO-9001:2015 Quality System
• Initiate corrective and preventive actions as necessary to support ISO-9001:2015 registration/certification
• Stop production if any process adversely affects product quality

Education and/or Experience

Manufacturing Experience Preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Constant standing and walking required
• Regularly required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach
• Regularly required to lift and move materials
