About EIS Egyptian Innovation Systems (EIS) is a Cairo-based company specializing in digital transformation solutions, document scanning and digitization services, high-speed production scanners, document management solutions, and IT services for corporate and government clients. About the Role EIS is looking for a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our Technical Support and Maintenance team. This position is suitable for fresh graduates and junior candidates with 0–2 years of experience. No previous experience with document scanners is required, as the selected candidate will receive structured, hands-on training on Kodak Alaris, Canon, and Fujitsu scanning equipment and related software. We are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation, strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on curiosity, and genuine readiness for fieldwork and client-site visits. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, test, and commission high-speed document scanners at client sites.

Perform preventive and periodic maintenance, including paper-path cleaning and replacement of rollers, separation pads, and other consumable parts.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software-related faults.

Install and configure scanner drivers, capture software, and document archiving applications.

Provide technical support to clients through on-site visits, phone calls, and remote-support sessions.

Prepare, test, and perform quality checks on equipment before delivery.

Document service visits, diagnosed faults, corrective actions, and spare-parts consumption according to company procedures.

Train client end-users on correct equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and daily care.

Escalate recurring or complex technical issues to senior engineers with clear documentation.

Maintain a professional image when communicating with corporate and government clients.

Working Conditions Full-time, on-site position.

Working days: Saturday to Thursday.

Working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Work includes office duties and field visits to client locations.

Candidates must be willing to travel across Cairo, Greater Cairo, and occasionally to other governorates when required.

The company covers transportation expenses for authorized client-site visits.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communications, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Previous experience with document scanners is not required.

Technical Skills Good understanding of electronics and electromechanical systems.

Basic ability to use diagnostic tools such as a multimeter.

Ability to understand wiring diagrams and technical schematics.

Good working knowledge of Windows, device drivers, software installation, and basic LAN networking.

Ability to read and understand English technical manuals and service documentation.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred but Not Mandatory Previous experience maintaining scanners, printers, photocopiers, ATMs, medical devices, or similar electromechanical equipment.

Basic knowledge of document management or archiving systems.

Valid driving licence.
