Position Description:

The Advanced Vehicle Dynamics Engineer is responsible for benchmarking and concept evaluation for chassis and suspension systems for future vehicle programs.

It is integral to have strong knowledge of suspension and chassis architecture and components, and strong understanding of cause and effect.

Responsibilities include target setting, tire specification, CoG calculations, hard point definition and more leveraging subjective vehicle assessments, objective test data analysis and vehicle dynamics principles.

Hands-on and driving, physical testing, modeling and simulation experience is all valuable in this role.

Strong ability to work cross-functionally is also a must in this position.

Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent

Experience in automotive engineering product development

Suspension architecture knowledge and development experience

Vehicle Ride and Handling - Tuning or Development Experience

Target Setting Experience for Ride and Handling

K&C Experience

Knowledge of Modal Alignment and NVH Fundamentals

Proactive and Reactive problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal skills

Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience from cross functional interaction

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university

Simulation Experience in ADAMS or similar MBD software

Racing experience/background

Teamcenter experience
