About the company

Most AI projects end as a demo. Yours runs on real data from hundreds of business customers from day one. In twelve months we've acquired four IT service providers and built our own agent that resolves tickets. Now we're looking for someone to turn all of this into a system that gets smarter with every acquisition.

Alphora is building Europe's leading AI-powered MSP group. We acquire IT service providers and managed service providers across the German-speaking region and use AI to make them the most advanced in their industry.

  • We're growing fast: four acquisitions in one year, with the next ones already in preparation.
  • We're backed by Northzone and Blisce, the investors who bet early on Spotify, Klarna and Personio.
  • Every company that joins us keeps its name, its team and its own tech stack. On top of that, we add our operating stack. It includes an agent that classifies tickets, derives solutions from ticket history and runs scripts through the RMM. It also includes automation for backups, patching and reporting, and AI products for our companies' customers.

Your tasks

Why this role is different Every acquisition brings new systems, data models and ways of working. For our agents to work reliably across the entire portfolio, they need a shared understanding of what a customer, a device, a contract, a ticket or a license is, no matter which system the data comes from. That's what you'll build, from the ground up. Not a prototype, not a research project, not a feature factory. You'll build the technical backbone of an entire group of companies, and every acquisition brings new data, new users and new problems that don't exist anywhere else. That's a data advantage no startup or software vendor can copy, and you're the person who makes it usable.

  • The ontology for our MSP portfolio: a unified model for customers, sites, devices, users, contracts, licenses, SLAs and tickets across all group companies.
  • Data integration: connections to the PSA, RMM, ERP and CRM systems of our portfolio companies, including entity resolution and data quality.
  • Agent orchestration architecture: how agents plan, call tools, coordinate and hand tasks to technicians with a confidence score.
  • A system that improves with every resolved ticket: feedback loops, evaluation, monitoring and guardrails for agents in production.
  • Compliant data processing: customer data handled in line with GDPR and kept within the group.
  • The group's engineering team: you make the core architecture decisions, set the standards and shape the culture from the start.
  • Closeness to the problem: you work directly with the founders, our forward deployed engineers and the technicians at our companies, and you go where the problems actually happen.

Requirements

  • Several years of software engineering experience, including multiple years of architecture ownership at Staff or Principal level.
  • Deep experience in data modeling, ontologies or knowledge graphs (e.g. RDF/OWL, property graphs, semantic layers).
  • Experience running LLM-based agents in production: tool use, orchestration, retrieval, evaluation.
  • Experience integrating data from heterogeneous systems via APIs, and with distributed systems.
  • Strong Python and/or TypeScript skills.
  • You think in systems, make decisions under uncertainty and would rather build than just design.
  • Nice to have: experience with ITSM, PSA or RMM systems, running LLMs in sovereign or European environments, or a background in the MSP space.
  • Excellent English; German is a plus.

What we offer

  • Top salary:€180,000 to €200,000 base.
  • Real equity: you become a shareholder in the group you're shaping and benefit directly from every acquisition and every growth step.
  • Architectural ownership: you decide the architecture, not a committee.
  • Direct line to the founders: short paths, fast decisions, no politics.
  • Impact from day one: real data and real users from multiple IT service providers, not a sandbox.
  • Generous budget for hardware, compute, conferences and learning.
  • Flexibility: Berlin or remote, flexible working hours.
  • Network: access to Alphora's network of founders, investors and IT entrepreneurs.
