Solution Architect DevOps

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced solution architect – DevOps based in Dammam to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-native solutions. You will leverage your expertise in solution architecture, DevOps practices, and Google Cloud Platform to drive automation, ensure system reliability, and guide cross-functional teams in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

Responsibilities:

Design and document end-to-end solution architectures aligned with business requirements

Lead the implementation of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing

Architect and deploy scalable, secure, and resilient environments on Google Cloud Platform

Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to define requirements and best practices

Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring

Perform architecture reviews and code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices

Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide actionable recommendations

Mentor and coach team members on DevOps methodologies and cloud architecture principles

Required qualifications:

7–10 years of hands-on experience as a solution architect or DevOps architect

Proven expertise in solution architecture and technical design patterns

Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture

Deep understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD tooling, and infrastructure as code

Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash)

Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification

Experience with multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure)

Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Stackdriver)

Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks in cloud environments

Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Prior experience in the Middle East or knowledge of regional IT regulations

Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring technical teams
