CMM Engineer

1.Program, operate, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect production parts, first articles, and prototypes. 2.Develop and optimize CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent software. 3.Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and specifications to determine measurement requirements and inspection criteria. 4.Perform dimensional analysis, generate inspection reports, and document measurement results for internal and customer review. 5.Support root cause analysis and corrective actions by providing accurate measurement data for non-conforming products. 6.Conduct regular calibration and verification of CMM equipment and related inspection tools to ensure accuracy and compliance. 7.Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve process capability. 8.Maintain measurement records, update inspection procedures, and support internal/external audits (ISO 9001, IATF 16949). 9.Identify opportunities for measurement efficiency improvement and implement best practices.

Qualifications: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on CMM programming and operation experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive, aerospace, or precision machining preferred). Proficiency in CMM software: PC-DMIS, Calypso, Rational DMIS, or equivalent. Familiarity with manual and automated CMM equipment (Zeiss, Hexagon, Mitutoyo, Wenzel, etc.). Understanding of quality management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and core tools (SPC, MSA, PPAP).
