Social Media Manager & Operator Support

About the role

We're hiring a Social Media Manager who will also support operators on Ajewa, our prediction market platform.

Ajewa lets affiliates, partners and influencers across Africa run their own prediction markets. About half of this role is running social media for our brands. The other half is keeping operators supported day to day with the Ajewa operations team.

Key responsibilities

Social media (about 50%)

• Plan and publish a weekly content calendar for each brand you manage, across Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook and WhatsApp channels.
• Turn live markets into timely posts on football, politics, entertainment, crypto and finance, with hooks tied to what people are talking about that day.
• Write captions and brief the designers on graphics and short videos, making sure posts stay on brand and compliant: 18+ only and no promises of guaranteed winnings.
• Manage community engagement: reply to comments and DMs, moderate, and flag issues quickly.
• Work with influencer and affiliate partners on co-branded posts and campaign creatives.
• Track performance and share a weekly report on reach, engagement, clicks and sign-ups.

Operator and player support (about 50%)

• Act as a first point of contact for Ajewa operators, including BY Market, on operations questions.
• Respond to player and operator queries on deposits, withdrawals, market rules and account issues within agreed response times.
• Escalate technical and payment issues through the operator escalation group, then follow up until they're resolved.
• Help onboard new operators with setup checklists, documentation and first-market launch support.
• Log recurring issues and pass product feedback to the operations and tech teams.
• Join the weekly Monday Ajewa team meeting and report on assigned tasks.

Requirements and skills

Must have

• 2+ years managing social media for a consumer brand, ideally in gaming, fintech, sports or entertainment
• Strong writing in English and fluent Nigerian social tone; pidgin is a plus
• Close follow of Nigerian and African football, pop culture and news, with the ability to spot a trend early
• Customer support experience, with calm and clear written communication under pressure
• Comfortable with Meta Business Suite, TikTok and X analytics, plus Canva or CapCut
• Organised and reliable across many brands and queries at once

Nice to have

• Familiarity with prediction markets, sports betting or fantasy sports
• Experience working with influencers or affiliates
• Basic Google Sheets reporting
• French, to support francophone markets
