We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Medication Warehouse Section Head to lead and oversee medication and medical supplies warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate stock control, timely availability, and compliance with hospital policies and applicable standards. The role will provide operational leadership for the warehouse team and work closely with Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical, Finance, Procurement, and other key stakeholders to ensure a safe, efficient, and uninterrupted supply of medications and medical supplies across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the end-to-end warehouse operations for medications and medical supplies, from receiving and inspection through storage, inventory control, and distribution.

Ensure all received items are accurately verified against approved purchase orders, including quantity, specifications, pricing, batch numbers, and expiry dates.

Ensure accurate and timely system registration, coding, and documentation of all received items and stock movements.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate Min/Max stock levels are maintained to support uninterrupted hospital operations.

Establish effective controls for near-expiry and expired medications and medical supplies, ensuring timely reporting and appropriate action.

Ensure proper storage, handling, organization, and traceability of medications and medical supplies in accordance with applicable policies and standards.

Oversee the timely and accurate distribution and dispensing of supplies to hospital departments according to approved requirements and schedules.

Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate stock discrepancies, variances, and operational issues, implementing corrective actions where required.

Prepare and review regular inventory, stock movement, near-expiry, fixed asset, and warehouse performance reports.

Ensure accurate reporting and coordination with Finance, Pharmacy, Procurement, Nursing, Medical, and other relevant departments.

Lead, supervise, and develop the warehouse team, ensuring effective task allocation, performance management, and adherence to operational standards.

Ensure compliance with departmental SOPs, hospital policies, quality standards, safety requirements, and ethical guidelines.

Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory utilization, cost control, and operational processes.

Ensure the warehouse maintains appropriate standards of organization, cleanliness, safety, and security.

Job Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.

5+ years of relevant experience in medication/medical supplies warehouse operations.

At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a similar environment is required.

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical supplies inventory management.

Solid understanding of stock control, Min/Max levels, expiry management, and warehouse operations.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Experience with ERP / inventory management systems is highly preferred.

Strong leadership, team-management, and decision-making skills.

High level of integrity, accountability, attention to detail, and commitment.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment and manage multiple priorities.
