As Director of Engineering, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Tech & Data at Rituals. We are evolving towards a Product Operating Model that enables greater ownership, faster delivery, and stronger business impact, and you will be at the centre of this transformation. Reporting to the Executive Director Tech & Data, you will lead our engineering, data, analytics, AI and platform capabilities while partnering closely with Product leadership to deliver our technology and product roadmap. Your focus goes beyond technology delivery alone. You will help build the foundations that enable our Digital and Business teams to innovate faster, simplify our technology landscape, and unlock the value of data and AI across the organisation. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide change, strengthen engineering culture, and create the shared platforms and capabilities that support Rituals' continued growth as a technology-enabled retail brand.
Your Accountabilities
- Lead the engineering, data, analytics and AI capabilities that support product teams across Rituals and enable measurable business outcomes.
- Build and develop high-performing engineering teams, creating clear career paths, modern ways of working and strong ownership across teams.
- Accelerate delivery by improving engineering flow, reducing dependencies and embedding continuous delivery practices.
- Drive engineering excellence through standardisation, quality, observability, security-by-design and scalable platform capabilities.
