Catering/Barista Team Leader

Leeds | Temporary until December 2026 | Potential Long-Term Opportunity | Full Time

£16.26 per hour

Reed is recruiting for an experienced Catering Services/Barista Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of several busy small coffee bar outlets.

You'll lead a small team, ensure excellent customer service, maintain food safety and hygiene standards, manage stock and cash handling processes, and drive sales through effective product presentation and promotions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support catering teams across multiple outlets
• Ensure high standards of customer service and food quality
• Manage rotas, staffing levels, and team performance
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and cash handling
• Maintain compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
• Support service improvements and new product initiatives

About You

• Previous supervisory or management experience within catering, hospitality, cafés, or food retail
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or equivalent)
• Strong people management and organisational skills
• Experience with stock control, budgets, and rotas
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills

Working Hours

• 35 hours per week
• 5 days from 7, including rotating weekends
• Shifts between 7:00am and 10:00pm usually between 7am – 5.30pm
• Flexibility required to support business needs

This role is initially a temporary assignment until December 2026 , with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
