Job Purpose:

This role provides accounts support to all departments and to support client transactions and the financial functions of the operational side of running the business.

Responsibility for:

  • Day to day online client banking.
  • All stages of conveyancing completions from checking completion packs to managing the completion transactions.
  • Transaction postings to client ledgers including disbursements, costs, fees and monies in/out.
  • Dealing with client credit/debit card transactions, cheques and cash.
  • Maintaining client ledgers
  • Assist with Month end reporting
  • Entering Invoices onto the accounts system
  • Support with the operational business e.g. raising payment runs

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a busy accounts environment and dealing with daily deadlines.
  • A high level of attention to detail, data entry and typing at speed.
  • To work well within a close-knit team and support all departments within the Firm.
  • Good IT skills with Microsoft packages.
  • To manage own workload and demonstrate ownership of same.
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience within a professional services environment
  • Knowledge of accounting systems such as Sage or similar
  • Experience in a book-keeping environment.
