Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Technician Location: Richmond, VA Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Starting Pay: $34.67/hour — higher rates available depending on experience Job Overview Seeking a versatile Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and welding work.

Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.

Diagnose hydraulic systems, including valves and pressure controls .

Troubleshoot electrical systems, including PLCs, fuses, motors, megameters, light curtains, and area scanners .

Maintain pneumatic systems, air cylinders, and fluid controls .

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including lubrication, alignment, adjustments, and cleaning.

Complete equipment repairs and fabrication using MIG and stick welding .

Install and set up new equipment and machinery.

Maintain and repair hydraulic presses, conveyor systems, rollers, chains, sprockets, and billet furnaces .

Support equipment reliability and shutdown maintenance activities.

Safely operate mobile equipment when required.

Document completed maintenance and repair work.

Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures.

Assist with maintenance projects, equipment improvements, and troubleshooting activities.

Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.

Industrial maintenance experience required.

Multicraft maintenance experience with strong mechanical and electrical skills.

Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems .

Experience with MIG and stick welding for equipment repair/fabrication.

Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and electrical components.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively with a team.

Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment.

Preferred: Completed 3–4 year apprenticeship/Journeyman Card or an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance.
