Assistant Management Accountant

£30,000 – £35,000 Manchester City Centre

A growing business is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team.

Working closely with the Head of Finance, you’ll be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and supporting the wider finance function across budgeting, forecasting and year-end.

The business is expanding and will be supporting 5 new entities , giving you exposure to a growing and increasingly complex finance function.

The role will also involve working closely with teams across the business, as well as external accountants and auditors. You’ll become a key point of contact for finance queries and will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of finance systems and processes.

The business is investing in AI and new technology , so you’ll also gain experience using systems that are becoming increasingly important within modern finance teams.

You’ll receive support from the Finance Manager while developing the skills and experience to take ownership of your own areas of work and progress as a management accountant.

About you

You’ll ideally have experience of month-end or management accounts and be keen to develop your career within management accounting. You’ll need good attention to detail, strong organisational skills and an interest in systems and technology.
