Your tasks

Role Description The GRE Tutor role at Pedex Educational Consult is a part-time, remote position focused on preparing learners for the GRE exam. In this role, the tutor designs and delivers online lessons covering GRE Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing, using clear explanations and structured practice. The tutor assesses learners’ strengths and gaps through practice tests, assigns targeted exercises, and provides individualized feedback to improve performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lesson content, hosting virtual classes or one-on-one sessions, answering learner questions, and sharing strategies for test-taking, time management, and stress reduction. The tutor also collaborates with the Pedex team to align instruction with organizational standards and may contribute to learning materials or resources that support students’ broader educational goals.

Requirements

• Strong GRE subject-matter expertise, particularly in Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing.
• Demonstrated teaching, tutoring, or coaching experience, preferably in standardized test preparation or related academic subjects.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear instruction delivery, constructive feedback, and active listening in an online environment.
• Ability to create structured lesson plans, practice questions, and study strategies tailored to diverse learner needs and goals.
• Comfort with remote teaching tools and digital platforms (e.g., video conferencing, shared documents, online whiteboards).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple learners and schedules in a part-time role.
• Commitment to learner-centered guidance that reflects Pedex’s values of integrity, professionalism, and empowerment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Mathematics, English, Social Sciences) is preferred.
• Prior high performance on the GRE (e.g., competitive scores) is an advantage.
• Experience working with international education applicants or scholarship seekers is beneficial.
