Assistant Fleet Manager
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Assistant Fleet Manager to support our daily fleet and delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and coordinating daily delivery schedules, routes and driver assignments.
- Monitor fleet movements and ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.
- Coordinate the transportation of pallets from the factory to SingPost.
- Coordinate deliveries of goods and materials from Jurong to various locations island-wide.
- Supervise and support drivers in the safe loading and unloading of cargo.
- Ensure that all drivers comply with traffic regulations, safety requirements and company procedures.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and coordinate servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor vehicle-related expenses, including fuel, servicing, repairs, road tax and insurance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, maintenance and driver schedules.
- Liaise with customers, drivers and the operations team regarding delivery arrangements.
- Assist with driving and deliveries when operationally required.
- Handle operational issues and other fleet-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid Singapore Class 4 driving licence.
- Previous experience in fleet operations, logistics, transport coordination or as a Class 4 driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with Singapore roads and delivery routes.
- Experience operating a 14-ft lorry with a tailgate.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain operational records.
- Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage drivers effectively.
- Physically fit and able to assist with cargo handling when required.
- Safety-conscious with a clean driving record.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends or public holidays when operationally required.
- Mandarin proficiency is preferred for communication with Mandarin-speaking drivers and business partners.
Working Hours
Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary and Benefits
