Technical Support Specialist/ IT Helpdesk Engineer

- Provide daily technical support through phone, email, remote assistance, and on-site visits.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, Windows, printer, peripheral, and network issues.
- Prioritize support tickets, production-line checks, and urgent requests to reduce operational downtime.
- Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and approved business applications.
- Configure access to network shared folders according to approved authorization procedures.
- Escalate complex incidents to the IT Manager or relevant service provider.
- Maintain accurate incident records, actions taken, and final resolutions.
- Support meeting rooms, presentation equipment, and video-conferencing devices.
- Conduct daily physical checks in server rooms at Factories
- Check cooling performance, visible server and storage status indicators, and backup internet equipment.
- Report alarms, abnormal indicators, cooling issues, or connectivity failures immediately.
- Assist with basic network switch, patch panel, cabling, and connectivity checks.
- Install, configure, and maintain wireless access points.
- Support approved emergency Wi-Fi or 4G connectivity during machine-network incidents.
- Record hardware specifications, serial numbers, assigned users, locations, and asset status.
- Prepare and distribute laptops, desktops, monitors, phones, and peripherals, and collect signed handover forms.
- Update asset records after each assignment, transfer, return, repair, or replacement.
- Complete employee IT offboarding clearances and verify returned equipment against asset records.
- Report missing, damaged, or incomplete equipment to the IT Manager.
- Maintain organized storage for available, faulty, repaired, and retired equipment.
- Participate in periodic physical inventory checks and asset reconciliation.
- Support CCTV camera positioning and operational checks and coordinate faults with approved vendors.
- Maintain basic records of camera locations, equipment, and reported faults.
- Follow company procedures for CCTV footage requests.
- Do not extract or release footage without a documented management request and IT Manager approval.
- Maintain confidentiality during CCTV support and footage handling.
. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of practical experience in IT helpdesk, desktop support, or technical support.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or multi-site environments is preferred.
- Experience supporting on-site users, infrastructure contractors, and physical IT assets is an advantage.
- Understanding of IP addressing, local and wide-area networks, DNS, and DHCP.
- Practical experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Basic knowledge of network switches, patch panels, structured cabling, network-point testing, and RJ45 termination.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting wireless access points.
- Familiarity with shared-folder permissions and approved access procedures.
- Familiarity with biometric attendance devices and CCTV infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of server room environmental checks and backup connectivity tools such as 4G routers and adapters.
- Ability to maintain accurate assets, repair, network, and operational records.
