Accountabilities: As a Compliance Associate, you will support compliance operations by maintaining accurate documentation, improving internal processes, and ensuring regulatory alignment. Your main responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the creation, review, and implementation of internal compliance documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensuring internal processes align with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, particularly regarding employment standards and operational compliance.

Managing compliance-related administrative tasks, maintaining document control, and organizing regulatory records.

Supporting employee onboarding processes, contract tracking, and employee data management through HR platforms such as Employment Hero.

Assisting with internal audits, identifying potential compliance risks, and recommending improvements to operational workflows.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance compliance procedures, documentation practices, and internal controls.

Monitoring updates in employment regulations and compliance standards, providing summaries and recommendations when needed.

Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive business and employee information.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized compliance professional with strong attention to detail and an interest in legal and operational processes. You should bring:

A degree in Law, Business, Compliance, or a related field; legal experience or paralegal certification is preferred.

At least 2 years of experience in compliance, legal operations, administrative support, or a related role.

Understanding of Australian workplace compliance requirements and employment law fundamentals.

Experience using HRIS platforms such as Employment Hero or similar systems is highly desirable.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation and summaries.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to compliance processes.
