Accountabilities: As an Associate Analytics Engineer, you will support the development and maintenance of reliable data systems while helping teams transform raw information into valuable business insights. You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to create trusted data assets, improve data processes, and contribute to a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Build and maintain data models and pipelines that provide accurate, tested, and documented data for business users and downstream systems.

Contribute to data quality initiatives, model documentation, and lineage tracking within analytics projects.

Support the delivery of data into business applications and AI-powered workflows.

Learn and apply best practices for source-of-truth models, metric definitions, and data structures.

Use AI tools to automate analytics engineering workflows, reduce repetitive tasks, and create new capabilities.

Partner with data platform teams to ensure reliable production pipelines and data models.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate business requirements into reusable data solutions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has a foundation in analytics engineering, data analysis, or a related technical discipline, with a strong interest in developing expertise in modern data practices. You should combine technical curiosity with strong communication skills and the ability to understand how data supports business outcomes.

1–2 years of experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, or a related technical role.

Foundational SQL skills and exposure to dbt or modern data stack technologies, with a desire to deepen expertise.

Curiosity and practical interest in using AI to automate processes and improve productivity.

Familiarity with Python and basic knowledge of data schemas, pipelines, and data modeling concepts.

Ability to understand business needs and translate them into reliable, governed data assets.

Strong attention to detail and ability to create clear definitions and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to work Eastern Time hours to support operational needs.

Strong problem-solving mindset with curiosity, initiative, and adaptability in evolving environments.

Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Openness to feedback, continuous learning, and improving processes.

Canada base salary range: CAD $98,000 – $122,750.
