NOC Engineer

iTeam is looking for a NOC Engineer to join our technical operations team.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting our customers’ IT environments, identifying and investigating alerts, responding to technical incidents, performing L1/L2 troubleshooting, and escalating complex issues to the appropriate engineering teams when required.

You will work with a variety of technologies across networking, servers, cloud infrastructure, monitoring platforms, and business applications.

This position is based on a night-shift schedule , so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working during night hours, can handle incidents independently, and can make timely technical decisions when required.

Monitor customer infrastructure, systems, services, and applications;

Review incoming alerts and determine the appropriate action based on severity and impact;

Perform L1/L2 troubleshooting of network, server, operating system, application, and connectivity issues;

Monitor Grafana dashboards, alerts, system metrics, and service health;

Analyze monitoring data and logs to identify potential infrastructure or application issues;

Monitor servers, routers, switches, firewalls, storage, backup systems, and cloud resources;

Perform basic troubleshooting and operational tasks using AWS CLI;

Perform connectivity tests, service checks, log reviews, and other diagnostic procedures;

Resolve incidents within the NOC scope and escalate complex cases to System, Network, DevOps, Cloud, or other engineering teams;

Create, update, and track incidents and service requests;

Follow established incident management and escalation procedures;

Ensure incidents are handled and escalated according to agreed SLA requirements;

Maintain clear and accurate incident documentation;

Prepare detailed handover information for unresolved or ongoing incidents;

Communicate with customers and technical teams when incident coordination is required;

Contribute to technical documentation and the internal knowledge base;

Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational processes.

Around 2 years of experience in NOC, IT Support, System Administration, Network Support, or another infrastructure-related technical role;

Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies;

Experience working with Windows and Linux environments;

Basic understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, storage, and backup systems;

Understanding of cloud infrastructure and hands-on exposure to AWS;

Basic experience using AWS CLI for operational and troubleshooting tasks;

Experience with monitoring and visualization tools, particularly Grafana;

Familiarity with Prometheus or similar monitoring solutions is a plus;

Ability to analyze dashboards, alerts, logs, and infrastructure metrics;

Basic understanding of databases and SQL;

Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash, or Python is an advantage;

Knowledge of Kubernetes, including basic familiarity with kubectl, is a plus;

Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments is a plus;

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills;

Ability to prioritize incidents and make timely decisions;

Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with other technical teams;

Good written and spoken English;

Willingness and ability to work night shifts.

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is an advantage. However, strong practical knowledge and hands-on technical experience are equally valued.
