Education:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Tasks:

  • Assist clients on and off amusement park rides and secure and release safety belts and bars .
  • Schedule events, programs and activities.
  • Schedule work.
  • Set up rides and amusements.
  • Issue score sheets.
  • Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage.
  • Operate rides and amusements.
  • Monitor safety area.
  • Operate game booth.
  • Clean and maintain recreational facilities and grounds.
  • Collect tickets and fees, and rent or sell sports and accessory equipment.
  • Operate radio and other communication equipment to communicate emergency events, maintenance of equipment and other procedures with staff members.
  • Assist patrons on and off rides.
  • Secure and release safety belts and bars.
  • Be the point of contact when in need to handle emergency situations.
  • Drive trucks, vans and other vehicles to transport amusement rides, games and other attractions to amusement attraction sites.
  • Operate all-terrain vehicles (ATV).
  • Check motor room equipment, gear boxes, carriage and tension systems for safe operation.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments.
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.
  • Monitor quality and production levels.
  • Oversee cleaning of specialty and difficult items.
  • Prepare and submit progress and other reports.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Supervise operation of mechanical equipment and machinery.
  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
  • Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
  • Wash or dry-clean industrial or household articles.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff.
