What will be your responsibilities?
Own month-end close activities for assigned entities within APAC, including journal entries, reconciliations, management reports, and variance analysis
Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and accounting documentation
Support multi-entity accounting activities across different countries and currencies
Ensure compliance to relevant accounting standards, reporting requirements, and internal policies
Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries across jurisdictions
Support corporate tax filings and statutory compliance activities
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounting records
Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls
Maintain accounting accuracy and reporting integrity within Cloud-Based accounting i.e. Xero accounting system
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and finance initiatives
Support ad hoc finance projects, system improvements, and any other finance initiatives
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff where applicable
This is the profile we are looking for
Education: Minimum of a Degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA, or MIA membership are distinct advantages.
Experience: Typically 5-7 years in a commercial or audit environment.
Technical Skills : Capability to handle a complete set of accounts (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger) up to final financial statements.
Have knowledge and hands-on experience with E-Invoicing
Proficiency with Xero Accounting System is an added advantage
