CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

A well-established Tier 3 Deposit-taking SACCO in Kenya regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulation Authority (SASRA) with over 50 years of service, is looking for a visionary and experienced Chief Executive Officer to drive its next phase of growth.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for day-to-day management decisions and providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial stewardship. The role ensures sustainable growth, regulatory compliance, innovation, and enhanced member value.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and implement the Sacco’s approved strategic and business plans Advise the Board on policy, governance, and performance matters Oversee financial management, and statutory compliance Drive business growth, product innovation, and member experience Lead digital transformation, ICT security, and operational efficiency Strengthen risk management, internal controls, and audit compliance Build and sustain a high-performance, ethical, and accountable workforce

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Master’s degree and CPA(K) qualification will be an added advantage Professional organization membership in good standing (mandatory) At least 7 years’ relevant experience, including 3 years in senior management or CEO-level role, preferably within the co-operative or financial services sector Strong knowledge of Deposit-Taking SACCO regulations and SASRA guidelines Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
