Skal:PythonPHPGitDockerKubernetesBackendDevOpsMicroservicesAIFinTech
A monolithic fintech project undergoing code optimization and the gradual extraction of services into a distributed (microservices) architecture, guided by performance measurements and analysis.
Tech Stack: Python, Django, Django REST Framework (DRF), PostgreSQL, Redis Sentinel, Celery, Kafka.
- Development and maintenance of backend applications using Django / Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Refactoring the monolith and gradually extracting services as part of the architectural migration.
- Building reusable integration frameworks for partner and payment provider APIs, with unified webhook processing.
- Optimizing PostgreSQL queries and handling concurrent access and high-load scenarios.
- Writing and maintaining automated tests, participating in code reviews.
- Investigating incidents using logs and metrics, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Python – strong proficiency, type hints, asyncio.
- Django – ORM, migrations, raw SQL queries, Django Admin.
- API Services – development and integration, REST, DRF, OpenAPI. Asynchronous API calls and webhooks: timeouts, retries, and idempotency.
- Celery – asynchronous tasks and queues, retries, scheduled tasks, and idempotency.
- Redis – caching and distributed locks.
- PHP – confident reading and understanding of existing codebases.
- PostgreSQL – replication, transactions and isolation levels, locking, indexes, and EXPLAIN query plans.
- Kafka – producers and consumers, the outbox pattern, delivery guarantees, and idempotent message processing.
- Git and DevOps Tools – merge requests, GitLab CI, Docker, Sentry, and JSON logging.
- AI-Assisted Development – ability to work effectively with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or equivalent tools.
- Testing – ability to write testable code and develop automated tests using pytest, pytest-django, factory_boy/mixer, mocks for external APIs, test data, and fixtures.
Nice to Have
- Experience with breaking down a monolith into services.
- Knowledge of circuit breakers, failover, and fault-tolerance patterns, including timeouts (soft/hard time limits), retries with backoff, idempotency, graceful degradation, dead-letter queues (DLQ), and the transactional outbox pattern.
- Basic understanding of the TCP/IP stack, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS.
- Experience in fintech or payment systems.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and practical experience developing microservices, including synchronous and asynchronous (message broker-based) service-to-service communication.
- Russian language proficiency is mandatory. English at a technical level is required for reading documentation and working with technical materials.
Additional Advantages
- Understanding of OLAP environment design for data presentation and analytics.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with FastStream or other asyncio-based frameworks for working with message brokers.
- Telegram bot development experience.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, and Sentry, as well as structured JSON logging.
Employment Conditions
- Work format: Office-based.
- Employment type: Full-time.
