Cloud Administrator

About the Opportunity

Xel Staffing is recruiting an experienced Cloud Administrator on behalf of an international client based in the United States.

We are seeking a skilled IT professional with hands-on experience managing, maintaining, securing, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cloud computing, networking, system administration, security, and infrastructure monitoring.

This role requires someone who can independently manage cloud environments, resolve technical issues, maintain system availability, and work with international technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines, storage, databases, networking resources, and cloud services. Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and resource utilization. Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, system outages, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks. Manage identity and access controls, user permissions, and role-based access control (RBAC). Implement cloud security policies, firewall rules, network security groups, and access restrictions. Configure and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. Collaborate with U.S.-based engineers, developers, and IT teams to maintain reliable cloud operations.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in cloud administration, systems administration, cloud infrastructure support, or a related field. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, virtual machines, storage, and networking. Experience administering Windows Server or Linux systems. Knowledge of cloud identity management, IAM policies, permissions, and access controls. Experience monitoring cloud environments and troubleshooting infrastructure issues. Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting tools. Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing production environments for U.S.-based organizations. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized infrastructure. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
