Cloud Infrastructure Engineer/ DevOps Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Architect, deploy, and manage secure enterprise landing zones and cloud infrastructure natively on GCP.
- Orchestration & Containerization: Manage, scale, and optimize Kubernetes clusters (specifically Google Kubernetes Engine - GKE), ensuring optimal resource allocation and service mesh connectivity.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain stringent security controls, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles, network policies, data encryption at rest and in transit, and vulnerability patching within a secured environment.
- CI/CD Automation: Build and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines using tools like Terraform to ensure repeatable, audited deployments.
- Operations & On-Call Support: Participate in an engineering standby rotation to proactively monitor system health, respond to high-priority alerts, and maintain our system uptime Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Job Requirements
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- GCP Mastery: Proven hands-on experience administering core GCP services (Compute Engine, VPCs, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Logging/Monitoring).
- Kubernetes Expertise: Deep operational knowledge of Kubernetes architectures, deployment strategies, ingress controllers, and troubleshooting containerized workloads.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong proficiency in Terraform for managing state files and modular cloud deployments.
- CI/CD Platforms: Experience setting up secure deployment pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or GCP Cloud Build).
Operational & Environment Requirements:
- Secured Environment Experience: Comfort and familiarity working within restricted network environments (e.g., air-gapped networks, jump hosts/bastion servers, or environments under strict compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, IM8, or MAS guidelines).
- Standby Availability: Willingness and capability to participate in a scheduled on-call standby rotation (including weekends/after-hours) with a reliable remote setup and quick response times.
Soft Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills under pressure during critical system incidents.
- Excellent documentation habits for mapping network topology, architecture decisions, and operational runbooks.
- Professional certifications such as
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect
- GCP Professional Google Cloud DevOpsEngineer
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
are highly preferred.
